Nutrition Services Department

The Nutrition Services department at OCMC is directed by a Registered Dietician. Each patient is screened for nutritional risk during their admission and nutritional intervention is initiated to optimize the patients medical nutrition therapy and promote healing. Nutrient and drug interactions which could affect the patients recovery are closely monitored. Medical nutrition therapy is available by physician’s orders as well as through outpatient services.

The food service staff serves meals to patients, as well as customers who avail themselves of the well prepared foods served daily in the cafeteria where one can also receive therapeutic menu selections.

The catering department prepares food for weddings, holiday events, civic organizations, church functions, or banquet meals.
