Ouachita Daily Living Center
Ouachita Daily Living Center offers a structured day program for adults, who, because of physical or mental problems are unable to stay alone during the day. Our facility offers care-givers the freedom necessary to reduce stress, while assuring that their loved one is in a safe, nurturing environment.
The Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled professionals with expertise in geriatric nursing, gerontology, social work, recreation, activities and rehabilitative therapies that meet the specialized needs of older and disabled adults.
Social contact is emphasized among participants and staff and we strive to promote individual dignity and self-worth. The Center blends activities, therapy and health monitoring to create a safe, stimulating environment. A typical day at The Center might include games, an exercise class, bible study, music, craft projects, one-on-one activities, entertainment or a special outing. The Center provides a healthy noon meal as well as morning and afternoon snacks.
Ouachita Daily Living Center gives an individual the opportunity to get out and have fun while assisting them in maximizing their independence and capacity for self-care.
